No one in the inner lane should need to exit. You get into the outer lane to exit.

The BU bridge and the rotary right next to it have easily taken 10+ years off my life. I’m so grateful I don’t have to go that way anymore

Unless the exits are also 2 lanes, it’s just not safe to exit from the inside
Edit: even then, it’s still not always safe
