The downvoting is ludicrous! I have both Sony WF1000-XM4, AirPods Pro and Etymotics and with voices the Ety’s are hands down the best option. If you are in an office, the ANC from Apple and Sony cancels all background noises, making voices clearly audible. With the ETY’s everything is muffled

What I still don’t get or know: how accurate are these curves, provided measurements are beyond the threshold for what is considered “okay”? The are smoothed to a portion of an octave, does that introduce small inaccuracies or not? Or is that the reason why people tell you to adjust to a curve and than modify to taste?

The fact that you get downvoted is very interesting, because people are presumably offended by a different preference. That is super weird but at the same time doesn’t surprise me at all. All you say is that you don’t like to EQ your gear.

My EU Apple lightning dongle doesn’t power my Ety ER4SR to high volumes in classical recordings (i.e. not normalised/compressed by loudness wars) in any but the louder sections. It has a sensitivity of 97 dB (45 Ohm impedance). I’d love to have that dongle without the EU constraints.
