Great find—that's actually pretty close! If it were white or black and textured, instead of woodgrain, I think I'd go for it. Maybe I could cover the wood with my own grippy sticker. (I do wonder if it would interfere with my NFC tags I use to control my lights.)

Thanks, yes I tap the top of the phone on tags to set HomeKit lighting scenes. I didn't know MagSafe used a second reader, but I guess that makes sense!
But this Coaster product made me wonder because it has its OWN NFC tag permanently sitting right up by the top of the phone. And another at the bottom corner.... I can't for the life of me figure out how you're meant to use them. Pop the accessory off and then tap certain spots on it against your phone? It does NOT seem to have a tag in the usual MagSafe location. Weird.
(Plus it is rather thick I fear—meant to lift the phone above the camera mountain. Makes sense, I'm just not sure I want to go that bulky,)
