If you live in Rockland you want to get the Courier Gazette and The Free Press for local coverage. My family who lives in the Rockland area prefer BDN, but either is fine for statewide issues. BDN does have more coverage on things happening east of the Kennebec river though. 👍

Ya, I see a lot of people asking about electronics/appliances on this subreddit. I hate to break it to people, anything you have to plug in, or uses batteries, ain’t gonna be BIFL. Seems like people are using this subreddit more as a Consumer Reports replacement. I’d like to see more of the “insane quality“ posts too.

I had a pair of Asolo 95 GTX (gore tex) for about 15 years. Still had plenty of life before I donated them to a local clothing drive. But who knows how Asolo quality is now.

Well I don’t think you’ll find out about anything on here that’s not on yelp or a quick google search. But some places for food and drink in the area would be Washington General, Sterlingtown Public House, Morse’s, and Pour Farm Brewery. I would think you’d be better off checking out Camden or Rockland for more things to do.

Three farm equipment dealers in Union actually. United Ag & Turf (John Deere), Union Farm Equipment (Kubota) and the new place Kilpatrick Sales & Rentals (Bobcat). And I don’t think it’s an Agway anymore, it’s called George’s River Mercantile.

We have cherry, pear, peach, apple and plum trees (all semi-dwarf) and I’m in southern Maine. They all produce extremely well, even with the drought this past summer. We purchased all of our trees from Skillins. They were expensive but great quality fruit trees. You can buy the Skillins bonds in the winter and save 25%.
