Imma be 100% honest with you. You dont need anything, if youre worried pepper spray is allowed, but NY and NYC are statistically some of the safest parts of the US. Dont buy into to crime fearmongering which was heavily pushed by Eric Adams and many GOP politicians to try and win the last few elections. Stuff happens yes but its not in reality something which should affect how you behave other than just basic common sense dos/donts.

Yes, but at the current moment the issue with energy prices is due to price shocks from fossil fuels, trying to blame green energy is a total red herring.

Its a no brainer of a development. Its mostly empty parking lots and big box stores which would be way more useful as housing. We simply need more housing in NYC if we want to prevent gentrification from bulldozing even more communities in the outer boroughs.
