Reply to TN teacher NJ apartment hunting by gmoor90
Congrats! We live in Somerville and it’s an awesome area! We bought a house, but there’s a ton of apartments around here too. It’s totally walkable and not far from Plainfield

Reply to Issues with Frontier flight landing at Trenton? by mdnla
This happened once while my husband and I were long distance dating - he flew to see me and his flight was diverted to another airport an hour away due to fog. He was not flying frontier. I know it’s a pain in the ass, but it does happen when they can’t land in the fog. I was able to go get him, but I know a lot of people on the flight struggled to get transportation back to the correct airport. Sorry it happened to you, that’s frustrating!

Yes, we did. We had to bid over their asking, but we love our home and they are predicting home prices here to continue to grow as the town does, so we figured it was a decently safe bet. We also placed our bid the day the home was on the market. It’s hard to find a great home here, but totally worth it! Best of luck to you!

If you’d like to go a little north, I highly recommend Somerville! It is 30 minutes from Newark, and there’s so much going on in the little city. We moved last year and absolutely love it here

Reply to comment by amitygoodtogo in Anyone know of a good 3 day weekend trip in or around the New Jersey area? by amitygoodtogo
DC is one of my favorite cities! It’s so fun. If you’re looking for a fun place to go out, U street is super cool and fun! DC has awesome places to eat too, museums are all free or inexpensive. Some you do need to do a reserve pass for - totally worth it. Georgetown is amazing to visit too! It’s about a four hour drive from central Jersey with traffic, or you could take a train from Newark. Cannot recommend the city enough.

We live in Somerville - highly recommend checking it out! We are next to bridgewater, bedminster is a 10 minute drive (I go to a gym there sometimes). There’s tons to do here, and so much is close. We are walking distance to Somervilles downtown - they do a ton of stuff, especially in the summer! Good luck with the move!

Reply to SMALL (10ppl) Wedding Ceremony locations? by Time-Acanthisitta697
We just got married last weekend at pier C park in Hoboken. We had a very small wedding and are in central jersey, it was about a 45 minute drive. We took our pics with NYC skyline in the background and it was everything we would’ve wanted it to be.
