As a recovered drug addict who has overdosed, this seems like a waste of resources that should be spent on education and job training for sober houses. Giving people a safe place to abuse drugs doesn’t help them at all. Overdosing on the other hand tends to lend some much needed reality and always offers the opportunity to get clean. You got to remember being an addict is a disease but drugs are a symptom not a source of healing that disease. This doesn’t sound like you’re teaching that and could potentially be letting a lot of people down.

I never said anything was anybody’s fault. I’m talking about a statistic that’s off because a lack of reports on other bites because they either don’t require medical attention or an ER visit. Yes pit bulls have a powerful bite, but it also has a gentle, loving disposition and require a lot to throw that trigger.

You don’t care about intentions? Shouldn’t a dog that’s actually trying to kill be more dangerous than a dog that isn’t?

I’m all for vetting dog owners, I’ll toss you an upvote for that alone. I also agree, all dogs can bite but some do more damage than others. My 90lb classic American bully COULD do more damage than say a chihuahua, but that chihuahua is 5xs more likely to bite. Now you think those chihuahua bites are reported? Or when the neighbors golden retriever gets too excited and nips the neighbors kid. You can’t demonize a whole breed because of the capability. I can promise you with over 10 years of owning and breeding they lack the desire.

Reddit hates bully breeds. They’re all confused and think a blood hound won’t rip your throat out, or how goldens are extremely two faced and regularly bite their owners. People love to read statistics on pits and bully’s but refuse to look at stats of other breeds. Any dog can become a destructive force when you don’t meet their needs.

RISD sucks. The graduating class would always come through Weinberg glass studio where I worked as an artist with absolute zero training, and we’d give tours and short tutorials on certain processes. At the end we would answer questions, from students that we’re paying over 60k in tuition, to a school with a glass department built by Dale Chihuly and here I am with more working knowledge than they had. What a waste

Comprehension isn’t your thing, that’s okay but I’m not going to explain this again. Feel free to reread slower. Take a min and let your brain catch up and if you still don’t get it, it’s okay. You’ll get there if you keep practicing.

You do realize im talking about dog pills right? “Hey man you wanna get high on carprofen?” Just tell me what office you work at as a vet tech so I can avoid it like the plague…

I have a history here babe. My vet knows why my dog is prescribed her meds and is aware that she’s not given them everyday. 3 years and the routine hadn’t changed till now.

How is having pain meds longer than you’re supposed to suspicious? Isn’t the common behavior filling scripts early?

aSkInG FOr rEcoMenDAtioNs IS suSpIciOuS…. 90% of Reddit is looking for recommendations so move on. I bet you walk your dog in a stroller

Normally I’d agree with you, though it’s far from a hardcore pain reliever, but it was only filled once, 8 months ago and had 2 refills left on the script. They did this so they could bill me for a wellness check. Which I would have gladly made an appointment for, if they weren’t holding my dogs meds hostage. Ot was disappointing to say the least. I enjoyed this vet very much.

Yeah sorry I guess I should have specified though I’ll travel for a good vet. I live in west warwick and have been with the VCA in Cranston for over 3 years, but they decided to not fill my dogs pain meds until I brought her back in to find out why she needed pain meds… she’s 11 with two torn acls and arthritis in both hips…. I wonder why she’s on pain meds….

Condesa in west Warwick is the nicest Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been in. First Mexican joint that doesn’t have a bunch of tacky shit on the walls.I’m a degenerate though so I tend to like that nonsense……our standards maybe different.

It would never happen within the context of your question. Maybe in a decade or more but I’m pretty sure we’re miles away from that. It’s still a drug in most peoples eyes and the only reason it became rec was because RI was losing hundreds of thousands if not millions across the border to Massachusetts. I work in the industry and the one I’ve learned in the 3 short years I’ve been in it, it’s all about money. So I guess it all depends on what benefits the state would get out of preventing private companies from testing for THC. At the moment I don’t see one.
