😅 when I lived in MA and had my medical marijuana card, I had to wait until it expired to get my LTC. They will not issue one to anyone with a med card (or at least they didn’t at the time) because having one means you’re legally under the influence, regardless of it being “medicine.”

However, if you get the LTC first, and THEN the med card, it’s a different process. Med marijuana people don’t look into it the way that firearms licensers do. Nothing makes any sense. My LTC instructor literally said “oh it’s fine, just let it expire. Get your LTC first and then renew your med card- not the other way around. They check.” I’m like oh?

Then I moved to NH, where it was much easier to purchase a firearm (just a quick background check in the gun shop) than it was finding weed to smoke (illegally) 😬

My Dad always called them that😂 and then when I moved from MA to NH I learned that allegedly the very first crop of white potatoes ever planted & harvested in America were grown right here in our town by the first Scottish settlers! Life always comes full circle. There are so many rock walls around here!

Me too 😑 a few weeks ago the officials were saying the tournament might be cancelled due to the fact that Winnipesaukee wasn’t frozen enough to play on yet. Now it sounds like they’re going to cancel tomorrows games and the rest of the tournament. One of the players on my husbands team got minor frost bite on a few fingers (while using hand warmers) and all of them have wind burned chapped faces already….gatta love wasting all that money on new winter gear, travel & lodging just to have it get shut down. Oh! And the power in their air b n b went out too so they’re keeping warm at a restaurant right now. Sounds like a blast up there!

Wow. Today? My husband & brother in law are playing in that tournament this weekend and staying in Meredith. I’ve been so anxious worrying about frost bite and these hockey guys downplaying the cold to be tough. When I FaceTimed them after their first game this morning, their eye lashes & brows were frozen.

We’ve lived here 8 years and love our vanity plates. We couldn’t wait to get them when we moved up (from 25 mins south in MA.) They’re so fun and cheap- why not right?

A few years back I finally landed my dream plate. Couldn’t believe no one else had it already. Then Covid happened, self explanatory. The lease was up on my car in the middle of the chaos so we decided to turn it in/take it off the road since it was only driven like twice a month with remote work & school, quarantines, ect. We figured we’d wait a few months and see how things are going before we get a new car. No sense in buying another driveway decoration if we’re gonna be home for another year (spoiler alert: we were.)

But as soon as my beloved vanity plate was unregistered to my car, someone snatched it up immediately!!! Of course I checked a few times a month in hopes that I could keep it once I got another car. But sadly, no. It’s gone. Less than a month after my car came off the road. I still check the website occasionally- secretly hoping and praying that the person who snatched it up has a lapse in their registration like I did. If I ever saw that it was available again, I’d be running straight for town hall the same day.

^^^after re-reading my story before posting I’m like wow I guess this is a prime example of how looney NH folks truly are about their vanity plates. Emotional attachment to a license plate is pretty weird huh? I’ll never not be devastated until I get her back one day 😩🥹

Classic how people shit on free staters & libertarians so much when all they really want is for the government to leave us all alone to make our own choices without so much overreach.

Never before have the political lawn signs bothered me as much as they did this year. There were/are SO many littered everywhere that it makes our beautiful region look so trashy and gross. To the point where I felt it actually took away from our gorgeous foliage this year. As many of us know, nothing is more serene and majestic than cruising the back roads of New England and enjoying all of the bright colors. Peak Foliage season turns an otherwise boring, mundane, every day commute into a peaceful and pretty magical drive to work/school for hardly 1 month out of the year. Not when there are a million signs up & down every road though.

The ones that infuriate me the most are the massive clusters of 20 different signs on each corner of an intersection. As if anyone could even make out a damn thing in the jumbo mess of fonts, colors, and different sign sizes. What’s the point? If anything it’s not only ugly and trashy but very distracting.

me, driving down a peaceful windy back road: hey you know what I should do right now?! Try and read all 20 signs while I pass through this yellow blinking light intersection so I can decide who to vote for based off who’s campaign colors I like the best!!!

Isn’t it?!?! I’ve been saying this for months now but I swear these past few weeks I’ve seen more oblivious, ignorant, careless and downright dangerous drivers than I’ve seen in my whole life combined. People give 0 fucks on the road these days and act like they’re invincible. I recently purchased a brand new car that is ready to be picked up this week and the first thing we’re doing is installing front & rear dash cams.

SO with that being said- I would highly appreciate any and all dash cam recommendations/experiences with certain brands/pros & cons, ect! Research and reviews only get me so far.

(Also I’ve noticed 93 south has been worse than ever on any given day at any given time. I’m assuming it’s all the leaf peepers aggressively bombing home after a long day of enjoying the beautiful tranquil nature up here. Majority of folks weaving recklessly in & out of traffic have MA plates)
