I think Scott has easily had the best career of anyone coming back since the original ended, but I just don't see him as a "I'm going to subscribe to Starz to see a show I didn't used to watch with him in it before now" star.

To me it was just a fun show to see a lot of actors I've gone on to like in other shows.

Yeah I'm enjoying it, and I like him a lot. I first saw him in Parks and Rec which was a great run for him.

I really like the cast, Martin Starr was a favorite from Freaks and Geeks and Silicon Valley more recently. As Parks fan Megan Mullaly is always fun. I love Jennifer Garner in general. I'd love to see more episodes, but I didn't hold out high hopes for them.

I think they overestimate how successful the cast is. I mean most have had steady work but Adam Scott and Lizzy Kaplan are the big names and one didn't come back. And Scott has gained more notice from Severance than years of solid comedy work. Severance fans are not necessarily going to line up for this style of comedy. I do, but I doubt I'm the majority. Most of the others have just had really good side roles in something since

Bob Saget was Danny Tanner for 8 seasons of Full House, 4 of Fuller House, and the voice of the father on How I Met Your Mother for 10 seasons to equal 22 seasons of TV, but he wasn't onscreen for HIMYM.

Don't understand why games with survival mechanics make us eat, drink, sleep, etc like real life but few make you use the bathroom.

It was also mentioned by Ian to Popp in the next episode. He showed her where they carved Doc loves Beans or whatever it was they carved in and tells her about the company that used to be there.

Definitely The Big Lebowski

I loved when Jacob corrected on her fight or flight instead of fight or fight and she tells him, "No, I said fight or fight, what am I a little bird?"

Have you tried Lovesick? It's not Irish, but it is a UK series. My wife and I just finished it on Netflix.

I also loved Catastrophe (I think on Prime) and You're The Worst on Hulu. Getting ready to try Bad Sisters on Apple TV, has one of the leads from Catastrophe in it.

Strongly suggest Extraordinary if you liked Derry Girls. Irish lead as well and her mom is played by the actress who was Sister Michael, sadly not in it nearly enough.

On Hulu in the US, Disney+ outside as part of their initiative to highlight creators from other countries on it.

The only reason I haven't watched an entry on this list is because it lies so far out of my interests that high quality alone isn't enough to interest me. Sometimes I can get into a show just because it's good, but not always.

For a few that that might fly under the radar I suggest:

Derry Girls - 5 teens in Derry, Northern Ireland, get into outrageous situations set against the backdrop of the final years before the Good Friday Agreement. Equal parts vulgar, heartbreaking, and hilarious.

Extraordinary - A 25 year old in a world where everyone gets a super power doesn't have hers yet. I can't say much without spoilers, it's also vulgar, and it's not a hero show.

Pantheon (though it got canceled sadly) - Great adult animation sci-fi. A slow burn that looks at the consequences of uploading human consciousness. A second season was ordered and then rescinded.

Wellington Paranormal - Taika Waiti, the man responsible for something everyone seems to love on the internet lately, produced this spinoff of the What We Do In The Shadows movie about the cops we see in it. A New Zealand import for people waiting on Our Flag Means Death, WWDITS, or any of his other 50 projects they love to return in some form.

Rutherford Falls - For people who love Michael Schurr (The Good Place, Parks and Rec, Brookyln 99, etc...), especially the Natives in Parks this was a fun 2 season comedy that could have been more. Overshadowed by the admittedly much better Reservation Dogs on a larger platform (Hulu vs. Peacock) my biggest hope now is for Michael Greyeyes to join Rez Dogs since he's free and is about the only actor not to split time between the two already.

Doom Patrol - Somehow it fought its way to 4 seasons and a proper ending coming. More absurd than Wandavision, a show that really looks at how dysfunctional a group of super powered people would be with their typical origin traumas.

Everything on Apple TV that isn't Severance or Ted Lasso - Kinda kidding here, but seriously, I got it free with Game Pass for 3 months and I've been blown away. I knew the first two were great and get lots of deserving buzz, but The Afterparty, Schmigadoon, Shrinking, For All Mankind, Mythic Quest, everything I try is good.
