And yet I’ve used products that did exactly this. Remote control cars use multiple single batteries that are wrapped into one useful mega battery.

Lol. She’s great. America have discovered her now. Much to my happiness.

That’s because they didn’t have history in the olden days.

There’s a lovely bit in the Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, in which a character is punished by being put into something called The Total Perspective Vortex. A machine that allows you to glimpse for a moment the real size of the universe, and yourself relative to it. Which drives you completely mad, obviously.

I’d love to know I’d really good astrophysicists can actually picture these sizes in their heads, or if it’s beyond human capability.

Oh dammit. That would be so cool.
I’m ashamed for not knowing, but where would I find it in the sky? In relation to the more obvious constellations?

Someone posted a close up earlier and I thought it was a really bad low res picture. Then I realized it wasn’t noise, but individual stars.
Hard to wrap my head around to be honest.

This is my wife’s view on Buffy, her Potter books, and her Smiths albums. She’s had a bad run of heroes.

Lovely! I think I’ll try both of these techniques. I abandoned pencils as I’m a bit clumsy and impatient, and never had a lesson. I always used paint to put reflections in eyes (or whiskers or whatever) as I couldn’t figure out how else to do it.
I-melted t1_j2ewkup wrote
How on earth do you achieve those whiskers? By leaving them blank? Or are you using some sort of white pencil I’ve never heard of? It’s spectacular in any case.

Everyone is getting hung up on the bloody figs. Its typical internet stupidity.
It’s a lovely picture! I can’t wait to go to Sardinia. If there’s a bunch of people in the world that knows more about food than the rest of us, it’s the Sardinians.

Tech is run by people like Elon Musk. Of course we have to worry. It’s not intellectuals on behalf of governments or humanity, it’s troubling men on behalf of shareholders, often in the pursuit of fascism.
