To elaborate, it’s sooo wide with a variety of trails and lots of space to not run into people too much even on a busy day. Great glades trails on a powder day that I could ride over and over. Plus the cafes right around the area are to die for :)

Definitely the white mountains, North Conway is a fun town with local hiking but also nice coffee shops and whatnot. Not sure if you’ve ever been to New London but its much closer and has got a cute downtown and some easy beautiful hiking trails. Easiest is Clark’s lookout but if you’re up for it Andrew Brook trail is pretty epic.

Your best bet with still a short-ish commute is probably white river junction / Lebanon area. New London is really cute but there is zero night life!
