While I was on Death Island, one of them shouted, "EL TIEMPO!" but I heard "HOOOME DEEEEPOOOTT!" and I had to assume by this point that this was some weird crossover arc. Didn't help that he hit me with an axe right after...

It's not an excuse for everything I'm stating here. It's an explanation - which you don't deserve - for why the formatting was bad. Your reading comprehension is still failing you miserably here. I don't think attempting to argue a moot point with me (to denigrate an opinion, no less, because you don't agree) is the best use of your time when you clearly have other things you need to work on.

Finally, amateurish in what way? Care to elucidate? If you can.

Most involved content: chasing after Koroks - fun value 1/10 Most "varied" content: four or five different biomes that you can see in any other open world game 9/10 times - fun value 3/10 Weapon durability system - fun value -10/10 No dungeons - fun value -100/10 Shrines - repetitive/10

Game sucks.

I'll agree with you that it feels harder, like you have less room to breathe, and the atmosphere is definitely darker. They seem to have trimmed a fair bit of unnecessary fat from certain areas (like the Castle) as well.

Adding stuff like the side quests and the expanded Blue Medallion stuff is really cool, and I love what they've done with the shop... but it is more or less the same game at the end of the day, and I think it's important that it be that way. If it wasn't, it wouldn't feel like what we all played nearly 20 years ago, and that was a big component of what would make it enjoyable.

So don't take what I'm saying as a gripe. It's just that it is mostly the same, just better.

Could this be a rendering breakdown? By which i mean when you turn the camera away, the rendering for that particular model shuts off temporarily, but if you turn back then it reloads the previous render state?

I saw something like this last night, and it was to do with that sort of thing.

None of them are particularly scary in general, but if I had to say then maybe Blair Witch, if for no other reason than that it is heavily oriented around atmosphere.

I should add that it's fairly tense even without VR, which is why I'd choose to over the others, despite those also relying on atmosphere to whatever extent.
