"I don't like violence" is wildly simplistic, violence isn't inherently bad or good. For example domestic violence is bad, but defending your homeland is good. Punching a stranger is bad, punching a stranger who tries to assault your wife is good.

If you're a fan you'd know that people carry for a number of reasons I know a mom who carry specifically because she was attacked by a dog while pushing a stroller
