Reply to Sodas by [deleted]

There is the candy store as you are driving to St. Louis that has the pedophile dude as their logo.

They have a ton of wacky sodas like Bacon flavor and stuff. Also their bathrooms are absurdly clean and have floor to ceiling dividers

Hawthorne Suites on the south side of town is great. It’s widely quiet, you get a free membership to the YMCA (takes exactly 23 seconds to walk from my apartment through the parking lot and into the building), and everyone here is really great. No package theft.

I live in the 2 bed 2 bath and it’s $960 with utilities. Electric not included like usual. They are renovating apartments though so it’s going up like $200, but I think it’s worth it.

Side note to this topic.

Springfield could really do well if they started focusing on more outdoors and/or things to do that are free to the community.

Bentonville has mountain biking parks, Kansas City has stuff downtown, Columbia has a shit ton of outdoor stuff, and St Louis has a ton of free things to do - indoors and outside.

Springfield has some walking trails and then downtown has Art Walk and bars, but we really don’t have anything else to do. No museums, the skate park has to be paid to enter (almost every skate park in America is free), the trails aren’t very good, and all the other things to do, Wonders of Wildlife, Japanese Gardens, etc all cost some money.

Springfield should invest more in itself because it’s a really boring place to live. All the college students move away after graduation because Springfield has no appeal to living here.

They refuse to pay overtime by citing “exemption” because all employees are classified as part-time and seasonal, which is just a huge labor law violation.

If you take off more than 4 days in a row between March and October then you are automatically fired, even if all shifts are covered and you are not needed. I had a coworker who had to go out of state for a funeral and they fired them because they couldn’t get a flight back soon enough.

They say that they are pro conservation, but have completely destroyed that cave and any potential habit that it would have had.

Make their employees work in flooded and dangerous conditions inside the cave.

The granddaughter of the owners is a manager and is a major bitch and yells at everyone, even if they did nothing wrong.

And also they have never hired a non-white employee ever. I watched many apply and all were rejected because they didn’t fit the “Ozarks” look.
