I had something terrifying happen on 15 the other day in Hamden. I was in the fast lane, in traffic at the going speed. Asshole tailgates me so close it was crazy. I couldn't move over because there were cars on the right. Asshole doesn't care and zooms around to the front of me and SLAMS on his brakes. As in he comes to a stop. Thank (inset deity here) my reflexes are good and I was able to stop. Further thanks that the guys behind me was not a tailgater and was also able to stop. Asshole took off before I could get his plate. I have heard from friends that they have also had this happen. I bet it is an attempt to get rear ended and sue.

Joe Lieberman turned into an absolute piece of garbage after his mother died. It's like his inner Republican came out after she was gone. I worked on Lamont's bid against him and I will never forgive his campaign goon for menacing my FIVE YEAR OLD at a campaign event. Campaign did zero about it and we ended up calling the police. Asshole was dressed like a banana for unknown reasons (yes he was paid Lieberman staffer not some random guy).

Well the Dems have worked for years to get no excuse absentee balloting and early voting. Repubs have tried to block it at every turn. Seems to me that one party wants to help people vote (knowledgeably) and the other - doesn't.

There is plenty of info on all of the candidates for a long time before the election. No excuse absentee ballots are a good idea for a myriad of reasons and to say that both sides want people to vote without information is just false.

You will find Connecticut far more accepting in general than where you are from. There might be some minor issues from a couple bad apples but over all you should be safe.
