From what I remember it was once owned by an old lady who neglected it for decades. There was a deadly fire in the 90's in a basement apartment that the building never recovered from.

Over the course of many years the owner failed to maintain it. It was in danger of collapse so it was removed. Buildings don't last forever. Progress marches on.

Not surprised. Tomorrow we will find out that they spent twice as much on light bulbs for one station than they did on consultants for the entire project.

The only way she leaves is if there is a primary. It's looking like there will be several candidates running against her. I know the district well and the people there will only vote for a Democrat in the general election no matter who it is.

Boomer response: "Except for waiting a day I already have the NY Post" Now you have to explain how an app works. It's always about going down rabit holes with them.

You are correct about the people of that district. It's mostly boomers who are oddly proud of the fact that they don't know how to use a cell phone. They wouldn't understand Reddit if you tried to explain it to them. I know because my parents live around there.

So let's damage property, waste water, and create an ice hazard on the road and sidewalk to prove some sort of point?

MTA has striked in the past. We drove, car pooled, took cabs, and a lot of companies organized private buses and van service. It wasn't easy but most people made it work.

You can also just leave it blank as a no vote/protest vote.

I voted but refused to vote for uncontested candidates.

I won't miss it. This location never has anything I want in stock. The one time I went I think I had to pay for parking. I just go out to the one in Long Island.
