>The biblical commandment to not take the lord’s name in vain applies only to the people who follow the Bible’s teachings. It’s their commandment, no one else’s. And it’s not even close to a swear in colloquial terms. It’s just an expression of surprise, and an extremely common one at that.

The most annoying part is that's not what "taking the lord's name in vain" even means. It absolutely doesn't mean to never use the lord's name. It very specifically means not to use the lord's name as justification for doing something that is against the teachings of the lord.

Just another example of Christians having absolutely no understanding of their own religion and making it everyone else's problem.

Hard to say without knowing what your interests are. Do you have to go to Worcester anyway and are deciding if you're staying longer? If so, there's definitely stuff to do. Coming here in Winter just because? There might be better places to go within 80 minutes this time of year.

The Worcester Art Museum is quite nice.

If you have kids, EcoTarium is great; my son and I go there a lot.

Tower Hill Botanic Garden is nice, but you'll be missing most of it in Winter.

WPI is a good school, but not worth the cost IMHO. It isn't 2.5x better than the various state schools in Mass for engineering. I wouldn't take out excessive loans to get an undergrad degree from WPI.

I have two other issues with small technical schools not specifically limited to WPI. The first is lack of diversity in interacting with non-STEM majors. College should be a time for growth of all sorts, not just technical training. The second is the lack of options if one decides to drop out of engineering, which a very high percentage of students do. A larger school with more options makes transferring major much easier.

Just my two cents as someone who spent most of high school wanting to go to WPI, but as an adult am very glad I didn't.

It is not as good as AT&T or Verizon, but for $16/mo with 3GB of data it's hard to beat. Also, they really don't care much about what phone you use, as long as it supports VoLTE, which is what motivated me to switch off AT&T after decades.

I've not had problems with service in Leominster. What I'd suggest is getting a pre-paid SIM and just driving around to your most important locations to check service. That's what I did before switching.
