All of the lofts that I interact with, have waiting lists months long. They don’t really care about communications. Just show up with a pre-filled application, and be ready to put down a deposit if something happens to be available. That’s the only way they really deal with anything.

Rhode Island's Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, Section 34-18-22, requires residential landlords to keep common areas, including sidewalks, steps and parking lots, in a reasonably safe condition – which includes removing ice and snow.

Inform your landlord in some type of written correspondence (email) that multiple people have almost been hurt so far, and that this is a safety hazard. This covers anyone in the future who may get hurt by the landlords negligence.

The actual snow removal may be defined as the tenants responsibility in the lease, but the landlord is still required to make sure at least one exit to the domicile is safe and ice-free.

I lived next door to an “illegal” chicken coop.

They were lazy as hell, and would just dump gallon buckets of feed once per week. Ended up with massive rat infestation.

Every car at my place, ended up with damage from rats chewing wires. I had to scrub away the charred carcass of a few that got into my matters wires.

Enforcement wouldn’t do a single thing, in the two years I was there.

One more for Dune Bros.

But if you want something open now, Chelos isn’t bad.

They also had a seasonal item, that they’ll still make for you if it’s not busy. Platter of French fries, smothered in chowder, topped with a generous amount of bacon, and chives. It’s like a New England poutine. You can feel your arteries clogging.

Wish I had a recommendation.

Best I can say is to avoid Veneton. They gave me a quote higher than everyone else, but I went with them for my tint because I wanted the best. Absolutely terrible job, worst I've gotten, and I get them done every year. They didn't even open one of the windows, for some reason. And the price they quoted me for a wrap was completely absurd.

Basically any Irish pub is built to cater to groups of people lingering at their tables for an entire night. That's kind of the whole point of a pub. Just make sure you're giving them some decent business, and not sipping a single drink over the course of 6 hours.

Personally, I go to Murphys Law in Pawtucket to play games a lot.

Open until 1am every day, cheap drinks and decent food.

Can get loud on Friday & Saturday nights, but you can still get a booth in the back that's isolated from the party crowd.

They also make “cat shields” for most vehicles. Like $200-300ish + installation. They basically weld a thick metal plate over the cat.

Not necessary for random people. But if you’ve been hit, or your neighborhood has problems & you’ve got a susceptible vehicle, then it’s cheaper than having to replace everything again and again.
