The omega-3 fatty acids present in animals(i.e fish) come from the algae they eat in their diets. Foods such as flax, chia, walnuts contain high levels of omega 3 fatty acids as well.

Anecdotally some workers are exposed to extreme amounts of polyethylene in modern warehouses, they are a small subset of the population.
