The problem is when adolescent kids who don’t know any better unwittingly create a psychological connection with a website. If they’re not careful, that is always going to be how they instinctively try to get through tough times. And as we all know, there’s a lot of tough times coming for people as they enter into adulthood.

I would rather there be no campaign funds at all. It should be a patriotic requirement that people educate themselves on the candidates and their positions and values. That said, a nonpartisan nonprofit could present that information in a public forum for all to consume objectively for a tiny fraction of the cost of what is spent on mudslinging and stupid bullshit ads that don’t tell voters anything except that “the other guy is bad”.
