Yeah. In a lot of ways I find it superior to Red Dragon.
-Brian Cox plays a very different kind of Hannibal Lector. He's not charming at all and really wears his assholish nature on his sleeve
-William Petersen as Will Ghraham seems a lot more unhinged and way more into getting into the headspaces of the murderers he investigates
Plus its got Michael Mann at the height of his artistic powers. An absolute must watch

It wasn't really a one of though. Yes Lazenby did only play Bond once but that film requires you to be familiar with the idea that Bond and Blofeld have met before since it is a sequel to You Only Live Twice. In general all the Bond films from Connery to Dalton are connected. Its only until GoldenEye where the films do a soft reboot is the series interrupted.

Let me use a lesson I learned from video games.
"Graphics quality will change with time but great style lasts forever"
A problem I have with a lot of CGI is that even when it is done well (because there are a lot of VFX artists that are worked to the bone and do the best any one can do) its that the direction and implementation of it isn't very interesting.

Well Ratner is no Michael Mann first off.
And I don't think Norton gave a bad performance its more like his Will Graham is more reserved and afraid of how he can get into the mindset of killers. Its different and I would understand why some people would prefer it.
I think William Petersen's take is just more entertaining
