I don’t understand what happened and frankly don’t have the time or mental energy to want to invest in it. I did to make this comment though. Let’s talk all things Massachusetts!

Lots of public school and social services agencies jobs up here, but agree with the other posters that it’s best to have jobs in hand before moving. The spring is a good time for school jobs, particularly late spring, as the inevitable shuffle begins between systems and positions and budgets finalized. Consider a job at the state, they are always looking for talented administrators and someone with a background in state government is a big plus. Plus most state agencies in MA offer hybrid work schedules.

We’ve had a Bosch for 10 years and here’s what we found:

The good -

  • I know not exclusive to Bosch, but the third rack is awesome! Saves my back (and my fingers) from bending down to pick up the silverware.
  • It heats its own water, so it doesn’t require a continuous supply of hot water.
  • It’s quiet. Ours has a little LED light that shines on the floor letting us know when it’s running

The bad -

  • The faceplate for the control panel and the recessed handle are slightly cracked. Even walking around Lowe’s/Home Depot I see the same on the display models. Probably comes with high use.

The steel band has broken twice at the place where it connects with the watch (as opposed to the clasp). Mine has a timer function, and after a few weeks of replacing the battery the hands don’t line up when I reset it. It’s still intact and reasonably durable; had it sent to Switzerland to replace all of the inner parts yet the same problem persists. More recently the covering over one of the buttons came off.

I’m a strong swimmer. Years ago I was treading water in the deep end of a pool near the side. Unthinkingly, my wife handed me my 6 month daughter. I realized quickly I could hold her head above water or mine, but not both. Fortunately I was close to the wall. I still ingested a lot of water. It’s no joke, it happens more easily than people think no matter how big and strong you are.
