nah, i can see what you're talking about lol. but i also think it might be because of the way they did the character models in the remake, idk.

i think some people just like to grind in jrpgs because they enjoy leveling up and getting stronger. but i agree that it's not necessary to complete the main story. it's all about how you play the game and engage with the mechanics.
