The worst thing about the IE 200 is that garbage cable. I can't stand how microphonic it is.

I would agree with this but there are people that don't even wear the headphones until they've burned in for hours upon hours.

I have the 660s and I just got the 6XX... can't tell a difference between them on any source. I think I'm just broken or don't listen to the right songs. I dunno.

Straight out of iPhone with dongle is fine on both. Plugged into 3V RMS Mac, they're both fine. I don't notice any distortion anywhere with either one.

It’s actually not that sensitive. I have to turn mine up a few notches above what I’m used to listening to on my 100 Pro and 400 Pro

I can't tell a single difference running my 6XX out of my Mac (3V RMS) and my iPhone 12 Mini. None.

I think I read that they’ve changed them over the years. The old 650s had a much darker sound.

They sound 90% the same. 660s is technically better, but both of their tones are very similar. I’d say the 6XX is better sounding tone wise, but the 660s does everything else better.

They sound really really good but I think the 660s is easier to drive and has better imaging for sure. The 6XX has 3 modes, left, right and center.

For me it's about how EASY those details stand out. Sometimes I have to squint my brain to hear them, and other times it comes through effortlessly, like I don't even have to try to hear it.

Good to know. I don’t use Spotify but next time I’m using the 560s I’ll try a mid boost. Did you also make sure you lowered your preamp gain by the same amount so you don’t get distortion?

I don’t mess with EQ because I like having the ability to plug them into any source and they’re gonna sound the same. Some sources don’t have good EQ like my iPhone for example.

Not at all. I have the 560s as well and it's thin sounding, lacking the meat that the 660s has and the treble on the 560s is a little to harsh for my tastes, although you can get used to it after a while.

The 560s aren't bad whatsoever, but I just adore my 660s so much more.

Nah, don't think I will. The 660s are so freakin sensitive, if I try them on anything more powerful, I'll have to have the volume on like 1 to be comfortable hah
