Reply to Solid wood vs Veneer furniture? by ValkyieAbove
Maybe try looking for local people online or on Etsy. I ran into the same issue with most coffee tables being veneer but still being really expensive. I found someone 3 hours away on Etsy who can custom make one and it costs a fraction of what a solid wood table would cost from some of the high end furniture mills I was looking at.

Not BIFL. I’ve had the lidl cast iron saucepan for 6 months and it already has a small chip on the rim. I bought it because it was a good knockoff for the le creuset one. And I thought it was cute and fun. But didn’t expect it to last forever and it probably won’t.
I also have a 5 qt le creuset and I absolutely love it. You can definitely notice a difference in quality. You can get some decent prices on the ones in the outlet and if that’s too much I think the Lodge Dutch oven holds up pretty good too.

My boyfriend and I run in hokas and a few other brands. While they’re definitely super comfortable they break down pretty quickly. Much quicker than my Brooks in my opinion. I’m sure they’d last longer for walking but I would definitely not consider them BIFL. But as others have said, sneakers aren’t built to be bifl.

Reply to Bed frame that isn’t particle board? by Plastic-ashtray
I have the ikea sagstua bed frame which is metal. It’s about 3 years old and I have taken it apart several times to move. The thing is stable, attractive and I highly recommend it. I purchased it on sale right before covid so it was only $150 for a queen. Now it’s up to $250.
