I adopted one of my cats from there and know it well. It's a short drive from my home.
Let me know tomorrow. I have to get to work for a bit. I usually start around 9. I'm not super pressed for time as I did a 10 day stint last period and adding more just isn't needed. I own two cats and a dog, so I understand how this stuff can be. I'll be on reddit a good part of the day, Friday. So if you reach out I should catch it pretty quick.

I say that as somebody that buys a decent amount of electronics. I have home converted CNC milling machine and I needed all sorts of cable, plugs, switches (of many varieties), solder, etc.. I gave up with the local stuff. I was a Radioshack buyer until the day it died, but even then it was pretty pathetic. Sources like Digikey, McMaster, even eBay were well out pacing it by the end. Add in Amazon now (the last decade), Radioshack never stood a chance. BestBuy is a joke in comparison to Radioshack for actual electronics, online is the only way to go now.

Just buy it online. It sucks, but it better than getting the wrong stuff 10 times.

There's no argument about ketchup. Heinz is the best and nobody is debating that.

Personal touches are awesome. I have no qualms. I like to make a very spicy version. That said, I still keep the molasses low. It separates it from a traditional BBQ sauce.

BBQ sauce usually has garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion (either fresh or powder), and usually more sugar than you would find ham BBQ sauce. A lot of BBQ sauces are quite high in the molasses, which ham BBQ is typically not. I know we are sort of splitting hairs here, but personally, ham BBQ sauce is enough different from traditional BBQ sauce to me that I consider them to be two separate things.

I went to the one on 65 the other day. I took my son. The stickies thread made me interested since I hadn't been there since the mid 00's.
It exactly as bland and average as I remember it being. My son loved it though. It does have a certain charm, though maybe I am just being a romantic.

I went to a conference in Michigan and the goals have obviously changed from "autonomous vehicle goes anywhere" to "autonomous vehicle goes known locations on known routes during well understood travel periods."
And I think that makes sense. It seems way more achievable.

You can probably make it at home with little effort. Some premade sticky buns to bake, some ice cream. Boom!
The last time I went to EnP they made me a milkshake with the netting that milk jugs or something came from and blended it right into the shake. So I took like a swig and i got a mouth full for shredded plastic. I haven't been back since. That was at least a decade ago.

A normal pallet is usually 6.5" tall. So 22 of them put it at nearly 12 feet of pallets. Add in the height of the bed, at least 2 feet (just guessing), this at least 14' tall. 13'6" is the max height for vehicles.
Edit: and that's 12 feet above the top of the bed sides, so actually probably way over.
CL-MotoTech t1_j9jkzcx wrote
I don't know, the troughs work well. You get a few broken or clogged urinals, which happens more frequently than it should, and the bathroom is down 30% capacity. Worse, you end up with people pissing in the toilets and the people poking a turtle are waiting for $30 worth of beer to drain in a single toilet.

Buy them online, seriously. You can get it fresh no problem. I buy spices by the pound online like three times a year, then I split them, vacuum pack them, and freeze them. When you need more you just grab a frozen pack and refill your bottle. It works great and saves money.

I go down to East Ohio fairly often. My son goes to ATA, I have done lots of work at NOVA place. When I hit East Ohio, I like to go to ACB and then walk down to the Elks. Sometimes I go to the Government Center for shows or walk up to Penn Brew. I've closed Verdetto's (or Regrettos as it is known) more times than I like to admit (the East St shooting was literally beside Verdettos). I know the area well. It's not as wild down there as people make it out to be. Yes, there is crime and that shooting at the Sunoco was horrific. Yes, it has a high homeless population and you see some weird shit at times. I saw a guy smashing jars of pickles outside the GE a few weeks ago. Not sure what his deal was.
Would I want to walk my dog in the commons late at night by myself given your circumstances? Probably not. As a middle age man I've never felt particularly uncomfortable. I anticipate the area will get cracked down on a bit given the recent bit of crime and new development that is currently being done. But people have been saying that for years...

Penn Brew is maligned by many beer snobs but they make decent beer and decent food. Their Dunkel remains one of the best in the city even if people don't like to admit that.
I know there was a management shake up of some sort at Church, but I haven't been in years since it was so bad. So I don't know if it has helped or not.

I agree that it is kind of clickabait, but still, 7600 rooms. That's a lot.

For anybody that hasn't been. This event kicks ass. My 7 year old goes crazy for it. Everybody is super nice. It is worth checking out.
