Reply to comment by EndoExo in TIL: About Earth trojans. Two asteroids that share our orbit, leading us around the sun. by RevolutionaryAd94
This makes more sense. Doesn't the speed of the orbit and mass of the object have to be a certain ratio for it not to get sucked into the star or ejected into space? It would have to be a planet sized asteroid. The title is a little misleading.

Yeah, some of those, you have to ask, what are we calling a state of matter now? Superconductivity? It's a physical property. That's like saying hot and cold are states of matter. This is giving me "there are 27 different genders" vibes.

You are absolutely right. It's also why "it was 2nd hand smoke" doesn't work. They can tell the difference.

First of all Pigpen would make a cool biker name. Second, that kind of childhood usually only ends 1 of 2 ways.

I don’t know the whole situation but sounds cartel related. Some of those organizations are more powerful than the government, in places like Mexico at least. F that, I’d move.

Reply to comment by RevanTheDemon in TIL Poltergeist, which came out in 1982, was rated PG. This is despite not just the movie fitting perfectly into the horror genre, but also many adult themes including the smoking of marijuana and a deep dive into the occult. by duganaok
It depends ok the genre really. October sky is a good movie based on a true story and has a PG rating. It didn’t require any sex or violence to tell the story so why change it for the sake of making it edgier? If it’s a horror, war or crime movie, I agree with you.

True, with enough effort and resources space is habitable, but there are places where no one would permanently settle. In the US I think of parts of the Mojave desert and in China parts of the Himalayas
