Check out the Education Law Center and I’d probably call McAndrews Law. McAndrews is a firm in Villanova that does education law. I am a former special education attorney, but the firm that I worked for handled only public and charter school cases. Education Law Center is a non-profit in Philadelphia that does exactly what the name implies. They’d probably be a great resource and point you in the best direction. Best of luck!

My favorite used to be Middleswarth, but then I realized they may or may not be cooked in tallow. Just tell us! From the ingredient list:

MADE FROM CAREFULLY SELECTED POTATOES, SHORTENING (CONTAINING ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: TALLOW, PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN, SOYBEAN, COCONUT, CANOLA, COTTONSEED, AND/OR PALM OIL),

Former public defender here. Cops have no way of knowing when they drive past you what percentage your tint is. Therefore, there are regulations in place that allow a cop to pull you over if you are driving a regular car (coupe/sedan/hatchback) and they cannot see the occupants of the vehicle. Most importantly, it’s often used as a pretext for a stop- meaning, it’s a high crime/drug area and cops are playing the odds that if they pull over the car with tinted windows, they’ll find some excuse to search the car and find some other evidence of illegal activity.

I can’t speak to this particular hospital, but I’m a former Public Defender who represented people being subject to involuntary commitment. You wouldn’t believe the hoops that hospital staff and even hearing officers will jump through to commit someone who doesn’t meet the criteria.

Your response truly saddens me. I’ve been out and dealing with anti-LGBT hate for 30 years, but I still wouldn’t wish this upon anyone and I’m able to have empathy and compassion for their plight. These people- hateful as they may seem-were, if anything, victims of the lies spread by right-wing propaganda and the orange buffoon. Unfortunately there are a lot more people who have been poisoned by this rhetoric, so I fear that things are really going backwards for us at this point. Time to be prepared.

If you like road trips, check out Route 6; it runs across the state, in the north. It takes you through a few state parks, several cute towns, and ultimately to Erie. It’s definitely longer than a 4-hour drive, but you could do 4 hours each day and see a lot. I did the trip with a friend a couple of years ago and it was beautiful.

So you’re saying that people bait them all year to get them fat and trusting? So every day, the bear comes up, gets its treats and goes on its way; then one day, it comes up, gets its treats (or not) and gets shot by the person who has been feeding it? What kind of person can basically bond with an animal like that and then kill it?
