How often do you take MTA buses?

It’s actually not as clear cut. Cars are targets for carjacking, and people will assume you have $ if you’re getting out of a nice car. In Baltimore the perception is, if you’re taking public transit, you’re probably poor.

Driving is actually much more dangerous, especially as people have been speeding more and more.

Lol that’s the light rail train on Howard St. How long have you been in Baltimore?

Unfortunately there isn’t great transit from Canton to Penn Station or WBM. And an apartment will be tough to swing on 47k a year.

Love to hear you’re looking at taking transit! An apartment in Mt Vernon so you’re close to Penn Station would be good. You could also find something in Union Square (where I live) or Franklin Square and bike/walk to the West Baltimore MARC station.

30% of city households don’t have a car, and those with the $$ to buy cars that people want to steal have the $ to buy their own Tile. You’re right that it’s a helpful thing, but not worth the City subsidizing.

That’s not true. If buses were the same speed as rail, then maybe. But rail with dedicated ROW is definitely faster and more reliable.
