Get to te amo tequila for their happy hour to pregame and I highly recommend Geronimo and bar. Another great spot is baracuda (unmatched happy hour) but it’s a little far from crown

New haven has some good local spots like Stella blues and college street for music venues, also cafe 9 for a more niche crowd tbh. New haven is crowded with coffee shops that are filled with people doing their own thing but friendly enough to have good interactions. My favorites are Koffee, Fussy, Deja Brew**, be sure to avoid o we priced shops like blue state and any large chains and the crowds are pretty friendly. New haven (Yale) has some free art exhibits that are fun, also be on the lookout for art shows.

Also getting a local job will help you exposed to the locals and the New haven life style.

My favorite pizza place is modern btw, def worth checking out.

I went to Bar last year with a bunch of my friends. Got there early so the cover was cheap and got to have drinks before the club opened without spending a ton of money. Super easy!

Some small businesses are more willing to pay under the table with cash. I worked at a salon doing reception and cleaning and it was easier for them to not put me on the payroll.

Pizza delivery/ counter service, reception, restaurant work, offer services (cleaning, yard work (ppl are going to need leaves cleaned up soon), babysitting, or any other skills you might have that would have someone hire you on a personal basis.
