Thanks! That's a great idea for winter hikes. Probably won't need it in the city.

Thanks. What's the actual name of these boots? Or a link? How do they do in slippery surfaces?

Don't think there's such a thing as bifl batteries. They all tend to start to deteriorate after 3-5 years, depending on usage. Def get one with usb c since most products are upgrading to it.

That's what I've started doing also. I also have a thrufted Springfield sweater. Some of the are really well made. Some I had front zipper installed on so I can regulate my temperature better.

Woolpower. They are merino synthetic blends for extra durability. Merino and durable don't go together. They make everything out of a factory in sweden. For quality control, a complete piece of clothing is sewed by 1 person and has that makers tag on it, as opposed to the assembly line style.
Their sweat fabrics are very close knitted which makes them really wind resistant for a sweater, but it's easy to get snagged on branches.

I've had something similar for 5 years. It's expensive but nice to have adjustable lighting and it's nice waking up with an artificial sunrise during the Canadian winters.

Sounds like your heater doesn't draw enough wattage to heat that room. Don't look at how big the heater is but by much wattage they draw. Most oil heaters uses 1500W which should be enough to heat a large room(depending on insulation/environmental factors). All heaters have their pros and cons but they all produce the same amount of heat if they draw the same wattage. Something something...rules of thermodynamics.

Might just settle for a cheap uninsulated one for now.
