I've worked with the homeless for 7 years in the Merrimack Valley and many, many restaurants and hotels refuse to give leftover food to the homeless because of fear of legal action. The company I work at has a large cafeteria and homeless camping just off property and the company/cafe refuses to donate leftovers because of fear of legal action. If they can't be sued then that word needs to get out.

Where are they located and how far do they want to drive?

Are you sure about that? I thought your statement only applies in a Stand Your Ground state? Pretty sure I recall incidents where home invaders in MA have sued the home owners successfully for injuries they incurred when the homeowner beat them out of the house. FWIW, I'm no lawyer so I'm not challenging you. Just questioning.

I use to always get Cambridge and Woburn and appealed for lowell. My appeal was granted every time (3 so far). I don't mind serving but would prefer it be convenient especially if you get called to serve and it's a multi day trial.

I think it coincides with the secularization of holidays and transitioning of these events s into major shopping days. If we are going to commercialize everything then no day is special when every day is an opportunity for corporate wealth. In the end, all workers will pay for a secularized society.

If you are that concerned about it then you should report yourself to the police in the town where it occurred. If no one files a report... not guilty. If they filed a report... you are doing the right thing. If they file a report and someone turns you in... welp...

Check the IVECCS, Blue Pearl or Ethos sites for nearby locations or just call a local vet in that area and ask them. Most would be willing to share.

Aside from the Common Man and Cotton there is also FireFly in Manchester, Angelo's in Stoneham, Luna Rosa Tewksbury, The Irish Cottage and the Fireside in Methuen, Andiamo and the Chateau in Andover, The Copper Door in Salem (the nicer version of The Common man - same ownership), Blackwater Grill in Salem, The Coach Restaurant in Londonderry (may also be same ownership as Common Man)

What does she value? Nightlife, restaurants, access to walking trails, tax free shopping, single life, family friendly? Dracut, like any other town is a lot of things. It is also not a lot of things. Hard to share relevant thoughts without knowing what she is looking for. It has an active Facebook book page. She should check it out.
