Bro I literally had a guy run into my car on Market (fraud), and he was laying in the street for like 20 minutes.
911 wouldn't answer. People freaking the fuck out at me thinking I killed a guy.
Cops show up 20 minutes later, tell me they don't have time for this, and when a very nice witness came over to tell them the dude was running in traffic for a while, they finally decided to call him an ambulance as a way to get him to leave.
This story pisses me off.
Edit: And if the very nice employee/owner of the restaurant that provided video to me or the woman who stood by with me for 30 minutes is reading this - you have no idea how thankful I am for you. Thank you. I think the only reason I got through that is because I was so damn mad at the guy, and aware of what he did/the fact I caught it in time to stop. I was able to keep it together just long enough. If you guys didn't come out to help I probably would have gotten arrested.
Edit 2: And also sued

I mean he couldn't play in important games. Pretty reasonable to want someone that could. Then he could play, and people got over it.
I think you're giving too much power to a frustrating moment in time, and you should also leave more room for fluidity (i.e. it's okay for people to change their opinions and minds about things).
And obviously, it goes both ways. Cause you are right that some people took it to an extreme. Basically treated it as a political issue when we're talking basketball.

Ever consider that maybe you're the one too wrapped up in the vaccine thing? And that maybe people got over it?
I thought it was a stupid thing to fight the team over. Then, time passed by. Now I don't care. I bet most people would say something similar.

I've always said come on up/down depending on the direction they'd be coming from. If they're West I say over

Yeah I think a lot of people knew who Fetterman was before the stroke, do not care about the stroke/think it will impact his performance, and then voted accordingly
Also I watched the debate and could understand what he was saying/trying to say. I hope he makes a full recovery but even if he doesn't, it isn't like he can't communicate. If he doesn't speak fast enough for some, I'm sorry for them that they're so impatient.
If he doesn't recover he might not be able to make huge public pushes for things like legalization, but he'll still be able to vote and push legislation through. Would also imagine his office will actually give a shit and help people that reach out to them.

Right? I barely even look at candy before I eat it. Too much shame.
I guess I've just been eating razorblades this whole time

Oh yeah they are and were fine, it's just a ridiculously brazen move. They were arresting, beanbagging, and pepperspraying people who weren't even protesting, let alone rioting. A lot of the cops in Philly were just out there to hurt people because their feelings were hurt, and they were having fun doing it. And since then they haven't even worked.
Anyways - I'm glad to now live in NYC where our police are so much better.... lol. Cheers mate.

Well I guess I'll just ask! Do you happen to be developmentally disabled?
I have resources to help if you need. It seems you at the very least struggle with reading comprehension.

Yep. They treated you guys like cattle. That period of time was the most horrified I've been of events in the US in my lifetime, and the way cops were rounding people up was a big reason for that (again to everyone here: no one knew where these people were taken. I had friends that i lost contact with for days. Had to file missing persons reports. How ironic due to where those reports go). Pretty much convinced me this country will not be coming back.
Still gonna give a shit about it all though.

Sorry that happened to you. If it helps, I'm still fucking pissed about it.
FYI to everyone reading this, this happened to a lot of people in NYC. Cities across the country really. In a bottle, it's enough to spark protests but because it happened during the height of the protests, it feels like it was forgotten.
I was living in Philly and same shit. Heard Chicago and NYC were even worse.
Those PD's will never be able to improve in my mind. I don't see how - those unions are way too powerful and police have special rules that most union members do not. Hope they get chased out of the cities they police and back into the suburbs that they reside. They and their unions are a stain on this country and if they were more human they would probably feel enough shame to have a collective heart attack.

Buddy look at my comment below. I hit a guy, and a bunch of people passing by thought he was dead. For literally 20 minutes a dude was laying on the street at 17th and Market and a bunch of passerby thought I killed him. 911 answered no one.
Cops happened to roll by, and they acted like it was a fucking nuisance.
I will believe the most outlandish anecdotal stories about the cops in this city. They are fucking awful at their jobs and a large percentage of them are lazy assholes. Many of them are even vindictive because people told them they suck at their jobs (which they do - and they should feel bad until they don't)
You call the cops in any other neighborhood and it's even worse response times. Let alone the neighborhoods you would never find yourself in.
Edit: not to mention people were calling the cops on this dude before he ran into me. He was doing it for the whole day according to the witness that stuck around for me. Absolutely insane that shit happens for an extended amount of time anywhere in the city, let alone one of its most trafficked areas.
