No. There was an old school one in Wrentham, but that closed down in the last year.

Reply to eli5: How do movies handle dubbing a scene where a character speaks a foreign language if they are dubbing the movie in that language. by Worth_Replacement398
No, they don’t switch the languages. They may, however, choose to have an actor dub over a foreign language portion as well to ensure the voice remains consistent. M
For example, if a there is a line in German and the whole movie is being dubbed in German, they might have the voice actor say the line — but it’ll still be in German. That way the original actor’s voice doesn’t cut through and confuse audiences.

Yep. Although just to clarify, under 16 is off limits (so 15 years and 364 days is a no-go, but 16 years and 0 days is totally fine, lol).

The age of consent is 16, and there is no law about age differences, so you can have sex with anyone else who is 16 or older. You cannot, however, have sex with someone who is under 16, period. A lesser charge of “consensual” statutory rape isn’t a thing here — you’d be charged with rape of a child (punishable by up to life in prison and being forced to register as a sex offender).

Unless you’re going to Natick Mall…that can be a pretty big pain in the ass. It’s not difficult like driving in Boston is difficult, but it can be confusing. Reminds me of an airport.

Don’t know where that site is getting it’s statistics from. In terms of crime, pretty much the whole town is on par with the nicest parts of New Bedford.

Reply to Am I missing something here? Maura Healey said she stopped 2 gas pipelines from coming into the state of Massachusetts. Wouldnt that mean gas prices and heating our homes will skyrocket? by [deleted]
The pipelines they wanted to build were going to transport gas that was to be used for electricity production — it wasn’t going directly to homes. And since using natural gas is a relatively pricey way to generate electricity, it wasn’t going to lower electricity costs either.

Oh, for sure! At least, it must have initially. Nowadays, most self-serve gas stations have fairly busy convenience stores, and many even have food to order. That definitely increases the gas station jobs available.

It’s a hold-over law from back when pumping your own gas was a new phenomenon. Gas station owners lobbied for it because they were worried self-serve would cut jobs and profits. There were likely safety concerns as well.

Yeah, but it’s only in Weymouth. Basically, all of the regular gas stations in town are full-serve. You can always go pump your own gas in a neighboring town though.
