And injuring one is the same crime as injuring a human officer.
Which tracks, since the dogs are actually about as bad at their job as humans. Barely any better than guessing randomly, ans used as a bludgeon against vulnerable groups. Barely better than "I thought I smelled weed"
I place all blame squarely on the police though, because the dogs don't know better.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. I believe this shooter had a rifle, but I don't know what kind. A 22 LR is way different than like 308 for sure
In any case, these officers did really well. They should be commended for it! Just as Uvalde's should be criticized harshly.

I don't know what the weapon was that the shooter had, but I believe even the standard vests can resist at least some small arms fire. Like a 38-45.
That is if they're the kind meant to be somewhat bulletproof

That was also originally the ideal of the American Mall. It was pioneered by some folks who thought Malls were an ideal utopia-like system.
Then capitalism turned them into dystopias instead. They were turned into tax havens for millionaires and billionaires to hide their money in.

And even if they did, the cops were probably armored and would have only been injured, not killed.

Amazon's hiring algorithm once had to be turned off becsuse it became racist and sexist. It was automatically excluding non white and female sounding names.
Iirc, it was because the majority of applicants were white males. As a result, most of the hires were white males. The AI recognized this as meaning that white males were the ideal candidate and would hire them more, which caused a feedback loop.

AI is very susceptible to biases, so I'm concerned that police will turn it into a racial profiler as well.

I'm not disagreeing with that at all. In fact, I explicitly said that there are exceptions and implied this was one of them. But you conveniently left that out of the quote.
Also, I don't have any grass yet. It's still under a few feet of snow.

I didn't say my party, so I'm afraid you can't really claim it.
I'm not blindly favoring a particular party, but explicitly denying the validity of a particular party.
The one that purposely botched covid response, convinced a bunch of people to use ivermectin and drink bleach, harasses school shooting victims and their parents, blocks legislation purely on the basis of who supports it and not on its merits, hasn't won a popular vote in 20 years, has committed treason, fly a battle standard of Alabama claiming "heritage" and sTAtEs RiGHtS, actually committed voter and election fraud, Nixon's war on drugs, Reagan's bullshit economic model which has caused most of our modern problems, got the majority of an entire cabinet replaced or convicted, some positions several times, of crimes because of corruption, colludes with authoritarians and fascists and spread their propaganda, and is fighting constant culture wars because they can't tolerate not having some outgroup to persecute.
Among other things.

Generally speaking, if the GOP criticizes someone, that probably means they are definitely the right pick. But, there's always exceptions!

The "They'll just sell or destroy them" defense is sort of awful. They aren't necessarily wrong, but they also neglect the fact that they've sold and destroyed a lot of them themselves already.

Republicans one the popular vote once in the last 20 years. It was George Bush right after 9/11, which Bush exploited to drag the country to war and murder hundreds of thousands of completely unrelated civilians.
Lots of money to be made in imperialism after all.

Though it's pistol caliber, I suppose the gunpowder behind it is the important part.
If it's got more kick, that'll make a difference in how effective armor is
