Pay more.

I did my my under grad and grad school in PA and got my licenses in PA. Because PA was also not paying teachers enough we were forced to follow my wife’s career and moved to Wisconsin while I still had my temps or whatever the probationary license was called, and WIDPI wouldn’t give me a general science license without going back to school even though my recent PRAXIS scores were in their exceptional range. So I stopped teaching without ever really getting started.

Now I work in a bicycle shop and make more than teachers in my area. That’s absolutely ridiculous.

Every now and the I think about going back to it, but I’m not willing to go back to the starting pay rate for a new teacher.

I went to the 2004 Feztival witb Cypress Hill taking the third to last sport, and Beasties closing. Forget who played in between but think it was Hoobastank and they were booed off stage. Cypress Hill was awesome, and Beastie Boys are one of my all time greatest shows. Wish MCA was still around so I could take my son to see them.

I kept y100 on my presents for probably a year, and would check back every couple weeks to see if it was just a mistake and they had gone back to the programming I grew up with. I also tried following the crew to MMR but the music selection wasn’t my thing and Steve got really annoying.

My claim to fame was poking Preston in the head with a giant foam finger while he was presenting a prize at a wings lacrosse game on the Jumbotron. I didn’t make the screen but my giant foam finger did. Also got a fantastic “are you fucking kidding me” look from Preston.

I’m a Philly transplant in Wisconsin. I make a point to wear Eagles gear any time the Packers are playing. No one here says shit. They are the most passive aggressive fans ever. The Vikings and Packers fans will talk a lot of shit between each other but no one gets beat up in the stadium. I’ve gotten asked multiple times if there was really a courtroom in the basement of the Vet.
