Very unfortunate times indeed.
Both states have the incentive to start a war, one is on the brink of collapse due to internal strife, the other is not politically stable due to a very extremist unstable political coalition leading the pack.

Out of all the saber rattles both of these states had over the past few decades, this might be it.

True, Middle East is not stable, but if Iran suddenly has advanced ballistic capabilities and nuclear warheads, you got a new problem, not because Iran will actually nuke the region, but it will have leverage over its opponents, which would also drive them to obtain the same technologies, and nuclear warheads.

But hours before this announcement, the environment secretary, Thérèse Coffey, described the summit as just “a gathering of people in Egypt”.

Asked why the prime minister was not attending, she told LBC: “The politically big significant things happen every five years … while at the same time, of course, the UK continues to show global leadership, as opposed to just a gathering of people in Egypt.”

When did clowns start taking over the administration in UK, this is just horrible and sad, how did it reach that point?
