Stihl MS 250. Great saw. Will last a lifetime, plenty of power for the average user but not too much. Great all around saw that’s easy to handle. Also would allow you to cut firewood if you ever need to.
Edit: battery options mentioned aren’t bad. I would stick with dewalt or makita if you go that route.

Rents expensive but utilities in this state are insanely expensive. Be prepared for very high utility bills. Just make sure you factor this into your rent and budget.

No state income tax, good weather (with the exception of June, July, and August), the gas pumps allow you to lock the trigger so you don’t have to stand there like an idiot holding the pump. Last but not least the people are pissed off and drive crazy, so new englanders feel like they are amongst family.

Ahah you are preaching to the choir. There have been a million post about this lately. My bill was 487$. Fuck electric heat and renting. The best post to date was the guy who had solar and still had an electric bill because he used up all his credits. It’s down right insane and people will start leaving the state if they don’t make some changes.
I spent 7 years of my life living in the mountains of Utah. My electric and gas bill combined on the coldest months was never higher than 150$. My average electric bill was 60$ out the door with tax and fees. Moved to Rhode Island and the cheapest bill I have ever had was 110$. I have family in North Carolina and they run their AC all summer, bills are usually 150-180$.
We are being screwed hardcore in this state. I feel for all the low income families and all the retired seniors on a fixed income.

You earn that dash when you hit a pothole so big that you have to replace all 4 rims.

Battery generators are a great idea for apartments and condos. No noise and can be recharged by a solar panel. Goal zero, Eco Flow, Jackery, ect.

Unfortunately 400k doesn’t get you much of anything anymore. Got to spend closer to 500k or be willing to put in some major sweat equity. However in comparison to Massachusetts it’s definitely an upgrade coming here.

Lot better than having your pipes freeze or loosing a freezer full of food. Also many other options can be had for half that. Just won’t last as long.

1000$ you could find a nice Honda. That would easily be enough to keep the refrigerator going, a space heater, and maybe even the computer router or TV. That would at least provide minimal heat, make sure your food doesn’t spoil, and provide some entertainment.

Rhode Island’s electric went up by 47%. Most states go up a normal amount like 5-10%. Just spent the holidays with out of state friends, they told us their bill went up 8%. I couldn’t help but laugh. Their jaw dropped when I said we went up 47%

The folks of Texas haven’t learned what a generator is and that they should invest in one before the inevitable ice storm comes.

I keep saying it, people won’t be able to afford this long term. They will start leaving the state by the handfuls. Electric prices are absolutely stupid in this state. I’ve lived in 4 other states and never seen bills like I do here.

70… that must have been a slow day. Usually it’s 80 in the left lane and 45 in the right lane, posted speed limit is 55. If you want to fit in make sure you don’t ever use your blinker. Also please remember even if you are following the law, you will always be the asshole. That’s the Rhode Island way.
