I'm a high school teacher in Philly, I see a lot of kids. I've taught in urban, suburban, rural, public, and charter schools. Never private. The type of kid that would do this is exceptionally rare. The kids are by and large mostly alright.

So check out the CBEA salary agreement here:
https://www.cbsd.org//cms/lib/PA01916442/Centricity/Domain/80/CBEA%20Agreement%2022-28.pdf
And scroll down to appendix A where you can see teaching salaries. It's only with 12+ years experience and a Masters degree that you start cracking into the 90K figure. When I worked there as a second year teacher I was making like 48K.
Where'd you get the 94K figure from?
