My water heater is ducted to vent outside of the garage. It looks quite similar to a normal dryer vent, but the ducting is a much larger diameter.

I don't live in Canada either. It's definitely regularly below 5 deg C for the high temperature in Canada.

I'm very jealous of people who have space to have their laundry equipment inside their house so they can have heat pump dryers as an option. My laundry equipment is in the garage, so a heat pump wouldn't work unless I insulated and heated that portion of the garage. I did consider it, but I mostly hang dry my laundry except bedding, so the cost wasn't worth it to me. I was surprised to learn that heat pump dryers don't work in a garage since I have a heat pump water heater in my garage.

Reply to Cat water fountain recommendations? by mokie_sassafras

I have had this for almost two years. I did replace the plastic container that holds the pump and filter after about 18 months, but they are available on the website. You can also buy replacement pumps if needed. I had another pet fountain for a few years, but this one is much easier to clean. I put mine in the dishwasher, but it could easily be handwashed since there aren't any weird crevices. I follow the manufacturer recommendations and replace the filters about every two weeks since my cat has Stage 3 kidney disease and drinks a ton.

My Bosch 800 series (B36CT80SNB) typically doesn't freeze food, even with things right near the cold air vents. I keep my fridge at 33 degrees.

Reply to Wool shirt base layer (for women) by bexappa
I wear this (https://www.ems.com/ems-womens-merino-wool-base-layer-crew-neck-pullover/35116300092.html) with a thin shirt like this underneath (https://www.ems.com/ems-womens-essence-peak-long-sleeve-tee/34680000089.html). I think it would probably not be too itchy without a shirt underneath, I'm just always cold so I wear one wool shirt all week with a new thin shirt every day.
