Same, Lynch is the master of dream-like film storytelling. Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway, Mullholland Drive and Inland Empire are all very dreamlike.

OP, if you haven’t watched any of these or if you haven’t seen Twin Peaks The Return you should put them all on your list.

The other film is a Czechoslovakian film from 1966 called Diasies. I watched this as part of a film theory class. It’s by Vera Chytilova.some really cool and weird stuff going on in it.

I’m also interested in comics that are dreamlike and if anyone has any recommendation please let me know.

Normally you would see the lighter iris and some of the light source reflected in someone’s eye, but in the reference there was none of that. I tend to try drawing what I actually see in my subject, so I didn’t add that in. I also don’t think it’s inappropriate in this instance because Elon’s got an almost Payton Manning bad guy head tilt going on.

Took my A5 sketchbook sketch of Elon, fixed the proportions in Procreate and then painted into him. Really happy with how it turned out. Crazy that he’s just lost $200B I can’t really wrap my head round that kind of loss or what sort of impact it will have on his many businesses.

He looks like a Bond villain here.

Yes, some kind of animation from the late 80s\early 90s. There’s a virus that looks like a robotic bug infecting people. People turn blue and spiky when infected. There’s a couple and they turned blue and their kissing tongues went spikey when they were kissing. Lots of psychedelic imagery. I thought maybe Aeon Flux but haven’t found any imagery to match. It’s not Strange Planet either. Had a Heavy Metal or anime vibe. Would love if anyone knows what I’m talking about.

A few months. AI artwork generators brought me here. I’ve retrained from location film work to art due to illness and seems like an exciting time to be an artist. The technology is amazing and could be integrated well into workflows as long as people aren’t passing AI art off as their own.

I’m enjoying reading about things that I know very little about. It’s exhilarating rather than scary I’d say. We just don’t know what we are in for with the technology we are developing.
