I used to know a couple, the woman was 5'0". And her husband would call her 4'12", and it made her so irritated. I thought it was great, and also better than 5'0". But ya, she did not.

Right, does it fail if there isn't a shooting at this particular school involving this particular classroom? Or do they just do a drill, pack all the kids in. And then declare it a success and get payed more than every teacher in the country to put one in every room in the country?

Reply to comment by [deleted] in How would a scientist be able to tell the difference between a blood sample from two totally different animals? by EastClintwood89
Ummm.... this isn't true. Iguanas have red blood.
There is a genus of skinks that have green blood. But they are the only lizards I know of that don't bleed red. And technically there blood is red, but has so much biliverdin in it (a byproduct of hemoglobin break down) that it looks green.
Iguanas have been hunted and eaten for hundreds if not thousands of years. They bleed red. You can Google and find pictures of ones with scrapes on their sides, and they are bleeding red. Who told you they bled whatever color they were?

Reply to How to get rid of these pesky mosquitoes? by [deleted]
I forget the exact math, but all it will take is every single human being killing like 20,000 mosquitoes a year, for like 10 years. And then they will instinctively avoid humans because we will have established ourselves as predators in their genetic memories.

Yellow also just doesn't travel as far. Which is why from far away, tress on mountains appear blue, not green.
Or at least that's what I've always heard.

Ok, that's also not true. Pencils will work just fine in space. Pencil graphite is mixed with clay and a bunch of other shit. Doesn't burn until like 1,000°c. And they aren't just making mass amounts of graphite dust by taking notes on shit.
And fine, nasa didn't spend the money, but millions were spent. And pencils do work just fine. They've literally been used by nasa and soyuz since the beginning of man's time in space.

I always liked the quote about how nasa spent a bunch of money developing a pressurized ink cartridge to have a ball point pen that worked in space. And the Russians just used pencils.
Maybe get one of the fancy space pens. And then some nasa pencils to give the kids?

But Led Zeppelin would be the better experience, for sure.
And im pretty sure Jimmy Page owns stairway to heaven. As he's the credited producer. But it coukd also just be Robert Plant.
He once gave 10 grand to an oregon radio station, during a fund drive. Because the DJ promised to not play stairway to heaven if people donated.
Plant was driving through Oregon and heard it on the radio. And when asked said it wasn't because he disliked the song. But because he'd heard it before, and liked that the station played non mainstream stuff that he hadn't necessarily heard before.

Lol, still, when at a bar surrounded by 20 somethings, shouldn't really expect to get recognized, as he is not really relevant to the current generation. Outside a random commercial they might see. Most younger people probably aren't looking up pictures of him just because they recognize a song or two.

I remember seeing a post of his on Twitter where he was at a bar and no one recognized him, and he seemed to be having a "what the fuck, how do they not recognize me" type attitude. And it's like...."you're 90. In a big hat and long coat, at a bar. Why the fuck should they recognize you?"

I never moved the goal posts. I pointed out that other weapons are also considered equalizers.
You are the one moving the goal posts by declaring these other weapons to not equalize enough.

So now your argument is that those weapons don't level the playing field enough, lol.
Point is kids in England hurt eachother with weapons all the time. Just because they aren't using guns, doesn't mean there aren't people with problems.

No, I agree salt is a better abrasive. But theyvstated that sugar wouldn't wash away as easily in water. When sugar is soluble in water, just like salt is. So im curious as to why the think it wouldn't wash away as easily.
