Reply to Best strength scenes in movies. by Jackamo78
Unbreakable - the scene where him and his son are just testing out the newfound strength by piling on more weight to the benchpress and he is just as shocked as anyone that he can just keep going. Really great, grounded approach compared to what a more 'standard' hero flick would do (throw a truck at him)

Apocalypse Now's climax comes to mind, but also this scene from maybe an hour earlier:
"I told you not to stop. Now let's go."

Reply to Must-watch movies? by hideandsink
Honestly I've had a great time just going down the Letterboxd Most Popular list, keeping in mind there will be a recency bias.
The first 12 movies you would see (assuming you've seen none) would be:
Parasite
Knives Out
Everything Everywhere
Joker
The Batman
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Midsommar
Get Out
Spider-Verse
Inception
Whiplash
Which is just a solid list of very accessible bangers with one or two more contentious ones that nevertheless give a great starting point for enjoying films.
