I hate when Apple adds new settings and enables them by default without any warning or notification about it. Like when they added optimized charging to AirPods, it was extremely annoying that my AirPods would only charge to 80% before I picked them up and left. No information or warning about this setting being enabled automatically, or even that they had added such a setting. Fortunately, I don’t have this “clean energy charging” setting on my phone.

Why’d this get downvoted lol? It’s pretty normal to not like unannounced changes on your personal device.

No thanks, never. It’s always been a free service and I am not about to pay for it now. Youtube is a shit platform. I had to install a browser extension just to be able to watch age restricted videos even though I’m way over the age of 18. And that’s because EU made it so YouTube had to require either your ID or your credit card info to verify your age, none of which Google has any business seeing. So fuck YouTube and fuck EU too. Never paying a cent to watch YouTube. Adblock is free.

I never did that. I just said the app was a bunch of Chinese crap spyware - which it absolutely is. And don’t you think they’ve meticulously created every little detail with the intent of keeping people scrolling for as long as possible? It’s kinda like what TV used to be, but modernized for the “techy” youth IMO. Just turn it on and infinite content streams into your eyes until you pass out.

These kids live off of Tiktok. They dress the same, they buy the same food/drinks, it’s like they’re all clones of each other. Same clothing style, same haircut, same dangling earring in their left ears. Same oversized 2000’s gangster jeans. Same baggy, ripped up 4th hand clothing. Individuality is dead.

Oh yeah but what I’m saying is that we should be able to set a perimeter, like if you go X distance away it’ll ping you. I only get the notification if I actually leave my AirPods, I’ve never gotten it while using them or having them in my pocket. Not even while driving.

Yeah for real. I think it’s gotten better now, but I’ve never in my life had my phone set to Danish so I wouldn’t know. Every device I’ve ever owned has been set to English and stayed like that.

I don’t get why you’d want to use other languages really. Most people know English pretty well, and if not, you certainly don’t learn by having it set to your native language with those horrible translations. But each to their own, of course.

It’s not, it’s just the Danish version of iOS that’s stupid. Nobody anywhere in this country writes time like that.

Most “translations” of software suck. I remember back when Instagram was still relatively fresh, the Danish translation of “likes” on a photo would roughly translate into “like declarations”. Like what the hell is that translation? Just call it “likes” or have it say “36 people like this”. Instead it would say “36 like declarations”. Absolutely ridiculous.

Since when are support questions allowed? Any time I’ve asked a question, even if it wasn’t support, mods always remove it. Glad you got it figured out though, and that it was an easy fix!
