Isn't there an USA reddit that this belongs in?
Because no-one else celebrates 4th July (unless it's their birthday) and halloween is ... again, meh? Just an excuse for the shopping megamarts to try to sell more crap to gullible idiots?
I get that if 4th July is a Thursday then so is All Hallow's Eve (not that I've checked on this at all) but... yeah, nice, for the tiny fraction of humanity that celebrates both of these, well done now go away...

Good luck, best wishes.

Lucky!!
And...
... Only in the USA...
How does an 11 year old have access to a loaded .45 pistol?
Aussie here, that father would be facing serious charges and lose their gun licence - assuming they had one in the first place.

Falling while climbing a cliff face and grabbing a fortunately well rooted bush? Yep!
Coming off my dirt bike at 15 and waking an hour or so later, seeing my left motocross boot ripped nearly in half, despite no damage to my foot, or rest of body (apart from concussion) Yep!
On my bicycle waiting at a stop light for the light to turn green and being rammed by a car behind me deciding not to turn right from the right turn lane, trashing my bike yet... I didn't even fall off it. Yep!
And several incidents in the other 3 decades, so far...
So, not every occasion, but I recall a few where I could have ceased.

Pfft, nope!
I'm one of the lucky ones who was able to retire early at 55 and got an instant $100/fn increase in take home pay. It's gone up 3 times since then and will go up further every 6 months until I die.
I wish defined benefit pensions still existed for everyone else, but sadly, the Big Bosses decided to increase their own pay, not the pay of their workers nor the pension plans of their retired workers... Hmm...
Perhaps consider this next time you vote in an election?
Review the history of the people wanting you to vote for them, and review their polices - do their policies make your life better, or just make THEIR life better?

Oh, another reason to avoid buying a VR system, good, I'll continue to save money while awaiting for a killer app.
Ho hum, more of the same, rinse and repeat.

Unpopular opinion coming!
I love Mondays, every Monday I wake up and remember that I'm retired and don't have to go to work anymore? So relaxing!
Sorry for you that are still working, though.

Some older (like '70s and earlier) bikes from Europe vary on that, and kickstarter positions vary as well. But I agree that every new bike I've seen this century has that setup.

I was wondering when someone would mention this.
Every motorbike I've owned or ridden has throttle and front brake on the right.
The clutch (or rear brake if automatic clutch) is on the left.
I have a tendency, since my driveway slopes down to the road, to test my bike brakes before getting onto the bike to ensure that each works and that I've drilled it into muscle memory which lever is which - odd - as I've never ridden a bike with 'reversed' brakes but I do it anyway, it can't hurt.
