That's one of the biggest problems I've had w/ roadwork downtown -- multiple routes get closed at the same time, so that it causes backups. Add that to the lanes closed for construction zones, and then Bank Street being closed, it really is miserable driving down there now!

If you open Google Maps and get directions, there is a button for showing where there are EV charging stations.

It's at the top of the screen in my desktop browser -- I'm assuming would be the same on a phone also, but haven't tried there.

I believe state law says that the assessment should be the estimate of the full market value of a property. https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/58.1-3201/

So yea, the counties/cities are required to re-assess as the market values change.

They could lower the tax rate to compensate, but they do have to re-assess.

Riding GRTC has been free for a while, so the OP wouldn't have paid.

I think the other responses are right about this being the end of the route. But unless the bus is going out of service or perhaps the driver's meal break is coming up at the end of the route, I don't know of a reason the driver would have said anything.
